Ten-year-old Makaila recently met her hero, Dr. Neil deGrasse Tyson. After attending his lecture, Makaila introduced herself and told him she wants to be an astronomy professor when she grows up. He bent down to speak to her at eye level and said, “No, you don’t ‘want’ to be an astronomy professor, you WILL be an astronomy professor. So, no longer say you ‘want’ to do it, say you ‘will’ do it and it is going to happen, Makaila.” She stood there smiling from ear-to-ear. Now she says she “will” be a future host of Cosmos, too. Look out, Dr. Tyson!
