Join GHF in the KLRN Virtual Classroom

Wednesday mornings this summer, join dozens of GHF families for a FREE nature-themed online learning experience. Coordinated by KLRN Public Television in San Antonio, Texas, and funded generously by the Knight Foundation, the KLRN Virtual Classroom connects homeschoolers and other summer learners Wednesdays at 11:00 a.m. CST via

KLRN virtual classroomTogether, parents and kids learn about the natural world and interact in real-time with nature experts. In under thirty minutes, each session features short video clips which students are encouraged to comment on and ask questions about. Supplemental material for parents is provided, courtesy of PBS Learning Media.

GHF is pleased to be a partner in this innovative, state-of-the-art pilot project. This series is ideal for gifted young people who crave connection with other bright minds in a family-friendly online learning space. The first week had 30 participants! Students ranged in age from kindergarten through middle school.

To participate in the KLRN Virtual Classroom’s nature series,  log on to OVEE a few minutes before the Wednesday 11:00 a.m. CST start time.
